Good points.
Trump is obviously a Salesman, he's smart, and he knows how to tell people what they want to hear.

Re: September Thread
Watched the last 15 minutes of "The Rack", a movie made in 1956. Wish I had caught it from the beginning. It starred Paul Newman as a young Army officer who was facing court martial for collaborating with the North Koreans after breaking during torture.
The defense's closing argument included a condemnation of society's poor performance in preparing our youth to stand against Communism and to find strength in our nation's history. Nearly 60 years ago, and they were already seeing the perils of our education system.
I had to pause and think about Sgt Bergdahl. Does basic training include deliberate attempts to undo all the damage that liberal brainwashing inflicts?

Who needs an education, when the Obama Administration appoints a General-Grade Wet-Nurse to do the Investigation and Testimony?

Re: September Thread
You didn't hear?
Major General Kenneth Dahl was appointed to investigate the Bergdahl incident, make a finding of facts, and send a review up the Chain of Command for determination of appropriateness for UCMJ Action.
Such an investigation normally takes 90 days. He took 2 years.
This week, in a "Preliminary" Hearing prior to Court Martial, B.G. Dahl stated that Bergdahl THOUGHT that he was doing the right thing, that he THOUGHT that he would get the attention of the General Staff by going AWOL, that he has been punished enough during his captivity, and that any punitive time in Prison would be inappropriate.
He didn't mention that U.S. Intelligence Officers monitoring telephone systems heard Taliban state that they had an American Soldier who wanted to join them (the Taliban).

Re: September Thread
So Dahl was hand-picked by the Secretary of the Army to come to a pre-determined finding? I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked.

Yeah.
Seems to be a lot of that going around!
(Jeremy, notice how those of us with over 20 years of Military Service can be a bit cynical?)

Re: September Thread
I was on an O.D.A. when Jimmy Carter got on National Television and whined, "They LIED to me! The Russians LIED to me. They said that they wouldn't invade Afghanistan."
To which, those of us on the Team said, "Oh, very astute of you, Jimmy. You have learned that the Russians will LIE for military ambitions.
So after that, we had a running gag any time that something did not come to pass that we had been promised.
We would say in our best Jimmy Carter whiney voice, "They LIED to me. The Army LIED to me. They said that there would be trucks to meet us at the Drop Zone. Now we have to walk. They LIED....."

Re: September Thread
Depends on who replaces him, but Boehner's departure makes the sun shine brighter and the birds chirp sweeter for at least today. What a poor Speaker of the House for so many years. Obama was hardly slowed down in getting whatever he wanted.
It's like I heard someone say..."When the Democrats are in charge, they're in power. When the Republicans are in charge, they're in office." It's time to change that.

Re: September Thread
I felt similarly about Boehner as I did with G.W. Bush.
I think that they were both honorable men with good hearts. Unfortunately, that alone is not what it takes to halt the Radical Left.
We've said it before. Nancy Pelosi would never give up in order to get along.
I heard Trey Gowdy's name mentioned as a possible contender to replace Boehner. Boy, would that make for a "Cat Fight in Congress"!!

Re: September Thread
Woo hoo! I've got clover coming up in my field! I was worried when I planted because it was so dry, but then the rain came in and it's popping up. I also planted a field over at my parents land that's coming up nicely as well. Hopefully it'll amend the soil nicely so I can sow some nice hay fields next spring.

No ya poking the wolverine Philip! I've been on vacation since Wed and traveling since Fri night. I visited my dad in PA and now in Baltimore. Picked up my non resident PA license Sat. I don't need it for PA reciprocity. I got it for reciprocity in Wisconsin and Texas as they only accept Ohio CHL's issued after 3/23/15. I have carry "privileges" in 40 states.
I got to see my 2 month old nephew being dedicated today. My my how things at my home church have changed.
After church we went to a greek orthodox church festival. I had greek pizza and gyro. Bought a Spartans 480 BC MOLON LABE come and get them tee shirt.

Hillary bumper stickers will likely be coming off by year's end. I hope that's not wishful thinking, though. On the flip side, I appreciated Ben Carson's statements on Muslims and the presidency. Can't argue with his logical opinion.
