PraiseMoves

Post by Christi on June 8th 2013, 9:44 am

I don't know it anyone has family members or maybe yourselves that want to exercise and keep The Lords temple (our bodies) fit and trim. So I would like to tell you about a class I am taking to teach PraiseMoves, its a Christian alternative to yoga. Its primary focus is The word of God, and the secondary benefit is exercise. It's all about transforming our minds and excercising at the same time and I really like it since I am one person who has had a lot of trouble since I was little with listening to satans junk that he would put in my head, and I want to help as many people as I can because of what I let him do to me. NO MORE JUNK Pray cheers
I am learning a lot of stretches, the benefits, what to do and not do, things like that. What I want to do is also take one of the other classes called MIRA (means Look) It's a Chritian alternative to Zoomba. I will admit, I have done that z stuff before but because of some of the moves you are supposed to do I had a check in my spirit to not do it anymore.
So if anyone is interested please let me know, I have a couple of days left before class to try and earn my way, so please let me know. Pray

Is it Zoomba or Zamba? I remember a group of ladies doing that outside of the room we conducted ICS. They setup in the foyer of a the church in plain view. Maybe I'm olde fashioned but I think many of our churches have gone to the other end of the spectrum in regards to modesty. We don't stress modesty and sanctification anymore like we used to. If you say something about it you're the perv with a problem. There needs to be a middle ground where we don't condemn people for wearing pants or shorts (which my church doesn't condemn) but also leave somethings to the imagination

I need to work out too. I am not on 3rd shift anymore and I know I'll gain weight back. Staying motivated is hard. I was planning on getting a membership to Splash Zone a local metropark that offer city residents a 50% discount at $110 on yearly memberships but Jan 4th changed all that. Would have had full access to gym, machines, track, and pools.

Actually i am pretty sure its spelled zumba. As for the people that do it in churches I try to remember that maybe they don't know there is something else out there for them to do like PraiseMoves, I did not know.... so I am just putting the word out there...God will do the rest.
I will say there is not as many men that do it as women, but they do have one male instructor on the website so far so its not out of the question. You don't need any special eguipment, what I have is a program downloaded to my cell phone (has mp3) and I can do it to walking, cleaning and or my gazelle. they also have dvd's on their websites and they are dressed appropriately in regards to modesty.
Is Jan 4th when you changed to days is that the reason for the change

I know, I resemble that feeling, and I sorry about that, but that is when it's most important to cheers him.
God helps us to do more then just get through, if we can praise him when circumstances are not ideal, then satan can not use it to keep us down. I remember more then one time that I have been :cheers:God with tears running down my face.  We don't cheers him because things are going well...  we :cheers:God for who he is and what he has done for us.  Whatever we are going through nothing compared to the cross.

Forumotion has upgraded some features. Christi whenever you have replied lately your response appears inside the quote box. Difficult to distinguish where quote ends and your comments begin. I noticed some of your emoticons are plain text. I think if you make sure to insert a space between the last : and your next word it will appear correctly

Hope that helps.

Yes, it takes a willful choice amd effort to praise. Much like getting out of bed in the morning.
