What is a Commander
*Previously posted on old forum, but reminded of on a recent thread and didn't want to jack*
I am a Commander.
I have been granted a commanding position
within a Great Commission,
with all duties, responsibilities, and privileges that position entails.
I am a Commander.
I have been Called, by Christ Almighty,
And approved the Authorities, that HE has appointed.
I am on a mission from God,
to Reach the next generation of young men,
to Teach them to be Better than me,
so that when they are Called,
by that same Christ who died for us all,
that they well be as best prepared for their Calling,
and so that they can Carry on the blessings of the Gospel,
unto their next generation, and on, and on, until Christ's Return.
May God help me, I am a Commander.
I am not a "volunteer", though I admit I gladly serve without financial pay.
I am not a "leader", for I am not simply the person in the front.
I am not a "teacher", for I vastly prefer my Rangers "doing" rather than "being taught"
I am not a "Mr.", because I am far more than my Gender.
I am a Commander.
And I will continue to be the Commander Christ had called me to be,
until such time as I have been;
Retired to my Eternal Rest,
Re-assigned to a new Duty,
or Removed by my duly appointed Commanding officer.
I am a Commander

Re: What is a Commander
I through Christ that makes me strong. There in is the Power for sure.
With God's help I will do my best. So often I have to remind my pitiful self I am nothing with out Christ.
About the time I pat myself on the back and say...look at your big ole self... bam I trip and fall on my face. GRIN!
