Doug Marsh wrote:District Directors:

Excitement is building as the historic LEAD14 and Mentoring Future Men (MFM) Conference approach—two conferences in one. Don’t miss it!

God has opened doors before us, and we must step through them together. Royal Rangers is growing again, and we must increase this early momentum. Bring your whole team.

At LEAD14, we will cover timely topics—FCF, Rendezvous, junior training, the growth opportunities before us, and more. The MFM Conference will be pivotal for every organizational leader as we introduce the new template for presenting Royal Rangers to churches. In combination, this two-in-one conference will represent another step in our growth journey.

Invite AG and non-AG church leaders interested in starting Royal Rangers to the MFM portion of the conference. Even now ads and communications are running in venues urging them to attend. Your personal contact with lead, youth, and children’s pastors may be the only missing motivator. It’s not too late, too far, or too whatever to get the word out. Do it! Please circulate the attached MFM Flyer and point people to our national ministry website for details.

The early discounted LEAD14 registration deadline is January 17, and the hotel reservation deadline is February 17. Tick these items off your to-do list, if not already complete. Be sure your team members have done the same. Then write, “Invite church leaders to the MFM Conference,” on your to-do list and make it happen.

See you in Dallas with your team and with church leaders from your district!

Doug Marsh
Royal Rangers
National Director

P.S.—LEAD14 is March 13-15, and MFM Conference is March 14-15. Details at royalrangers.com

DISTRICT EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP AWARD (DELA)

You may remember at LEAD13 we announced changes to the metrics (points) for the DELA. This year we are in a transition to those new metrics, so we need 100% participation from all DD to submit their application. If you do not think you have enough points or you don’t know some of the data, please send in your application anyway. If you don’t know the information, please write “unknown.” In this transition year, we are adjusting the points (lower); therefore, you may still earn the award even if the points don’t show it. That is why we need 100% participation. Next year, when the metrics and dashboards are fully implemented, we will continue with the point system on the application.

Deadline: February 13

You can find the application at http://agwebservices.org/Content/Resources/7.5.2%20DELA%20Application.pdf.

ROYAL RANGERS E-BOOKS

The Leader Manual, RK Handbook, and A Guy’s Journey to Servant Leadership are all now available in e-book format on Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Apple iBooks. (However, we can’t seem to find the LM in iBooks yet.) This means all our core handbooks are now available as e-books—all the boys handbooks, Leader Manual, and manhood and leadership books.

ARCHERY EVENTS PRIOR TO LEAD

The deadline of February 24, 2014, for signups to attend archery training offered prior to LEAD14 is approaching. There are limited spots available, so don’t delay. Centershot Ministries and Royal Rangers have partnered to offer nationally recognized archery training. Be among the first in the nation to become certified instructors or instructor trainers. Both have limited registration slots available. No on-site registration.

Royal Rangers Archery Instructor (RRAI) will be held on March 11. Cost is $50/person. Trainees receive a course book, instructor aids, ID card, and 5-year certificate of completion. With this certificate, the trainees can then teach archery courses at the outpost or district. Strictly limited to 20 people.  Refer to the RRAI Application for more information. Open to all Royal Rangers leaders.

Royal Rangers Archery Instructor Trainer (RRAIT) will be held on March 10-11. Cost is $125/person (for both days). Trainees receive a course book, instructor aids, ID card, and 3-year certificate of completion. With this certificate, the trainees can then teach the Royal Rangers Archery Instructor (RRAI) course in the district or region. Must be approved by regional coordinator to attend. Strictly limited to 12 people.  Refer to the RRAIT Application for more information.

TRAINING DEPARTMENT UPDATE – STAFF

The National Royal Rangers Ministries would like to thank Beverly Ayers for her years of dedicated service to the training department. Beverly has transitioned to another position in the AG World Missions department at headquarters. Beverly served as the training assistant for three national training coordinators. We wish her well in her new position. Please be sure to send all training related correspondence to the following email: rrtraining@ag.org.

Yet no stats to back this up. True, or more perceived reality?

Check the outpost locator. Is the AMR available to the public?

Who else besides Beverly and Glen Allen?

Yet, they say we're growing...

I don't keep that close of tabs. When asked was told they are down to about 50% staff. A few of the secretarys moved to other ministries for better pay.

p.s. This is a common place at GPH.

With all the gph layoffs I believe it. If we're growing we wouldn't be laying off and shuffling staff around.
