Sure. You buy a house in the Frozen North, then complain about the snow.

Isn't that the way sin is? People don't like the circumstances, but then usually aren't willing to make a change.

See the parallel? North=sin.... just sayin'...  November Greetings Thread - Page 4 1846539203  Laughing

The Cold Weather has finally hit Northern Mississippi.

We've actually had the gas central furnace on for about 9 nights (sometimes opening the windows in the datyime), but tonight I fired up the wood-burning furnace downstairs.

Got a good fire going with the blower on, flue temperature bumped 970 degrees, then brought it down to hold at 475.

It brought our 2600 foot basement from 62 to 67 in about an hour.

We're having a heat wave here in Montana. Thanksgiving's high is expected to reach 43 degrees. Now I have to dig out the Bermuda shorts.

JoeCool, what is the elevation where you are?

We are on the very edge of the foothills of the Appalacian Mountains, and our elevation is 643 feet (just slightly below Mississippi's highest point: 807 feet).

That may sound pretty flat to you, but it is slightly rough, with 150 to 200 foot gorges.

Owning a firearms is not permitted in Singapore (i.e. it is illegal), you will be charged if you are found with one without any permit.

Some States have a permit for pistols. In Ohio its pretty reasonable you pass a background check and walk out same day.

When we kicked the British out, we wrote it into our National Constitution that the Common People can Keep & Bear Arms.

The Politicians call it, "That Pesky Second Ammendment".

If Singapore had a bit more forceful with them, maybe you could have had that, too.Wink

Back in the 80's when I was in Singapore a few times, I was amazed at the cleanliness, orderliness and lack of crime.

In the do documentary series, "Evolution of the Gun" it talks about firearm confiscation was the last straw for the American colonists despite all other issues. Something they admitted is never taught in schools. You hear about tea and taxes but nothing about guns. Which explains why guns was #2 on the bill of rights.

The problem is we should have kicked out Tories who supported a centralized government.

Ours was good. How about yours? No black Friday craziness for us! I did go to Home Depot to get some material I need for a project and was aggravated by all the deal seekers running around the store... Bah Humbug!
