Re: FCF module is online
Probably an updated version of the old LTA FCF module. This Continuous Learning Elective or CLE can be used for 1/2 of the electives needed for the Advanced level the OLAL.

Re: FCF module is online
OLAL= Outpost Leaders Advancement Levels. It is the Ready, Safety, Trained, Advanced levels in the new Rangers Ministry Academy (RMA). Advanced level requires WCO and two CLE courses. One can be FCF. Or in lieu of a CLE mod you can count previous nat'l training camps if you have more than one completed for Trained level.

Thanks.
Interesting. I leave tomorrow for WCO in Bolivar MO, pretty close to Mark.
I will look into this further. Sounds like I can do this and another one ??? then not have to wait around for a national camp t come around again. .

Re: FCF module is online
What level are you at currently? If you have any previous camp like NTC or RKTC that completes training portion of the third level "Trained". If not you need NRMC or NEEC.
Advanced is completed if you do WCO, FCF CLE course, and any other CLE. If you have a certificate of completion of previous LTA modules they should satisfy your two CLE required courses as well. Other ways of satisfying the two CLE courses are through completing a 2nd nat'l camp from the Trained level or a district Action Camp.

Re: FCF module is online
Howdy!
With WCO done this weekend, I may look into that. Im interested in what is being taught as FCF anyways, and could possibly do another like this to satisfy that "trained" level.
I have never heard of this before a few weeks ago, and didnt know what it was. Can you give me a link or something pointing me to other training courses I could possibly take?
Thanks for your help.

Currently im (I think) "ready". I have taken R-basics and R-essentials. I need to take the safety online, and can test out of the CPR stuff from having training from work.

I dont have NTC or RKTC. The last training I had officially was as a youth in JLTC, about 23 years ago.

Re: FCF module is online
I did the FCF module last week and would say it is geared toward someone who knows nothing about FCF. It covers founding, history, advancement, and merits required for membership/advancement.

Btw, welcome aboard! I figured with a name like "Twelve Stones" you are an FCF'er! Take advantage of the Introduction forum and share a little bit about yourself. If you need anything just ask.

Re: FCF module is online
To answer some of the questions. The module does have some video and pictures and is well done but not a lot of new information for old time FCF'rs. I am new blood here but I was on the old Ranger Forums under the same name. RRCmdrBennett I don't know if you remember me from RF but we corresponded prior to doing NTC together.

Dan
I was cleaning up old Facebook messages and I came across one you sent me saying that alot of the old RF people had found a new forum. I tried going to it and it said it had been migrated here. First message I saw when I came here was from red squirrel so I figured I know at least two people here and signed up.

Mark, sorry I couldnt get to you over the weekend. By the time I got there on Friday and out of class, it was late. Ate breakfast and lunch there, then headed straight home with the 4 hour drive after it was done. Would have been nice to meet you in person.

Re: FCF module is online
Hey I am right in there with you. I am a go get er done and get home guy myself. Went floating on Sunday afternoon. Saturday was spent with my brother, sister, mom and dad and taking care of my wife after gallbladder surgery. (had to take a 3 hour float/fishing trip to get my therapy time in so I would be of sound mind....grin) Nothing better than to see one of your friends catching a fish, going over a log and about flipping or even better yet... the big flip of the day.. GRIN! Worth every moment.
So are you a cineform Segway mutant? Not a meloncoly cantaloupe eater are you? GRIN! So tells us about your WCO! What you liked disliked. How it benefited you and your outpost and when are you going Wilderness?

Re: FCF module is online
WCO was good. Especially the teaching styles of both Ricks. through all the information we have already discussed about the new systems, and not going back over it all, I did think there was good useful info for any outpost no matter the size or location. They kept preaching to cater to your local area. Make it work for each individual. There were two guys there both from smaller outposts. They felt like they had some ideas of how to make their outpost run more efficiently.Mark Jones wrote:

Probably not. Not even sure what that is.
By Segway, I assume you are meaning those two wheeled dolly-looking things that you ride on paths with. I have never ridden one, but want to. I dont understand how they work.

I do wish some of the info would be offered online, to reduce class time down to one day instead of a night and a day.
I would like to go wilderness next year sometime. I still need NEEC or NMRC to satisfy the "trained" portion of the block. The closest two to me this whole year are both about 10 hours away, and I cant make it. So im hoping to have all loose ends tied up this year, and will just need one of those two camps. Then the FCF stuff starts.
